KCC Board Honors Three Full-Time Retirees
The Kankakee Community College Board of Trustees formally recognized three long-serving, full-time employees who are retiring from the institution. The board approved resolutions honoring Charles Cooke, Frances Hebert, and Juli Gereg at its meeting on June 17.
The resolutions, which were signed by the board, commend the retirees for their dedicated service and contributions to the college community over the years. Specific details of their roles and years of service were not discussed during the public portion of the meeting, but the formal recognition highlighted their impact on the college.
Trustee Brad Hove made the motion to approve the resolutions, which was seconded by Trustee Michael Kick. The vote was unanimously in favor.
“It is always a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to dedicated members of our KCC family,” said Board Chair William Orr. “We are immensely grateful for the commitment and hard work of Charles, Frances, and Juli. They have helped shape the college and support our students, and we wish them all the best in their well-deserved retirement.”
The approval was part of the board’s action agenda, underscoring the formal appreciation of the college leadership for the retiring employees.
