PEOTONE — The Peotone Blue Devils struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the first half on January 12, falling into an early deficit that proved insurmountable in a 47-32 loss to Lisle.

Lisle established control immediately, doubling up Peotone in the opening quarter, 12-6. The visitors replicated that effort precisely in the second quarter, holding the Blue Devils to another six points while putting up 12 of their own. Facing a 24-12 halftime deficit, Peotone looked to regroup, but Lisle remained consistent, extending the lead with a 12-8 advantage in the third period.

Despite the deficit, Peotone continued to battle. The Blue Devils put together their best offensive stretch in the final eight minutes, outscoring Lisle 12-11. However, the early gap was too wide to close.

Senior M. Schroeder paced the Peotone offense with 9 points, knocking down a three-pointer and adding a pair of field goals inside. Junior Callie Weiss provided a spark from the free-throw line, finishing with 7 points highlighted by a perfect 5-for-5 performance from the stripe.

Seniors Peyton Bisping and juniors Olivia Moe and Payton Schnelle chipped in 3 points apiece for the Blue Devils.
