Peotone Township Taps Brakes on Solar Farm Guidelines

The Peotone Township Board of Trustees has paused its consideration of new regulations for solar farms, choosing to table the issue for a later date.

During its April 21 meeting, the board took up the “Guidelines for Solar Farms” as an item of old business, indicating the topic has been previously discussed. Following a discussion among the board members, Trustee Ron Schubbe made a motion to table the proposed guidelines, which was seconded by Trustee Grant Heatherwick.

The motion to delay a decision passed unanimously with “yes” votes from Supervisor Gene Younker and Trustees James Morgan, Ron Schubbe, Randy Swartz, and Grant Heatherwick.
