Lisle Baseball Powers Past Peotone, 16-3

PEOTONE, IL – The Lisle varsity baseball team put on an offensive clinic Monday, tallying 15 hits and 16 runs in a dominant 16-3 victory over Peotone.

Lisle wasted no time, putting up four runs in the first inning and three more in the second to build a commanding early lead. Every starter for the Lions contributed to the onslaught, as the team utilized six doubles and a home run to keep the pressure on Peotone throughout the five-inning contest.

Jase Twining led the offensive charge, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a double. JT Tumbarelli was equally effective at the top of the order, finishing 3-for-5 with four runs scored and a pair of doubles, while Myloe Thordson powered the middle of the lineup with a home run and three RBIs.

Thordson also earned the win on the mound for Lisle, striking out 11 Peotone batters over five innings of work. While Peotone managed a few runs in the first and fourth innings, the Lions’ pitching and defense neutralized any sustained threat, finishing the game early under the mercy rule.

Peotone’s offense was led by Alex Chenoweth, Cole Peppers, and Tyler Leitelt, who each recorded hits. However, the early deficit proved too deep for the Blue Devils to overcome against a relentless Lisle lineup.
