Lisle Softball Rallies Past Peotone in 12-2 Victory

LISLE, IL – The Lisle varsity softball team showcased remarkable patience and opportunism on Tuesday, erupting for nine runs in the fourth inning to pull away for a 12-2 victory over Peotone.

Despite recording only two hits in the contest, the Lions capitalized on 10 walks and four hit-by-pitches, turning a close game into a lopsided conference win. After Peotone held a slim 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth, Lisle’s lineup found its groove, forcing Peotone’s pitching staff to navigate a constant stream of baserunners.

Megan Bradley anchored the win from the circle for Lisle, throwing a complete-game six-inning effort. She allowed only four hits and one earned run, striking out four and effectively limiting the damage from the Peotone hitters.

Emily Bieniasz provided a key offensive spark for the Lions, driving in two runs with a double, while S. Crescenzo, K. Bieniasz, Elizabeth Fry, Erin Bradley, and Megan Bradley all contributed to the RBI tally during the decisive fourth-inning rally.

Peotone, which scored one run in the second and another in the fourth, struggled to contain the Lions’ baserunners once the game shifted into the later innings. Maddyx Toepper led the way for the Lady Blue Devils, recording two of the team’s four hits and driving in two runs.
